About Us

NSNO, the National Sponsorship and Network Office, works with the Sisters of Notre Dame of the United States (SND USA) sponsored and affiliated ministries to advance the SND mission and promote Catholic identity. We provide programs, services and resources that support leadership, governance and best practices. 

Who are the Sisters of Notre Dame USA (SND USA)?

A Catholic congregation of women religious founded in 1850 in Coesfeld, Germany, the Sisters of Notre Dame proclaim God’s goodness and compassionate love for people of all faiths and cultures through a variety of ministries across the United States. 

What is the SND USA National Ministry Corporation (NMC)?

The National Ministry Corporation (NMC) was created by the Sisters of Notre Dame of the United States (SND USA) to ensure accountability for the teachings of the Catholic Church and for fidelity to the charism, mission, and educational vision and principles of the SND congregation. A 501 c3 non-profit, the NMC Board of Directors includes representation from all four regions of SND USA. Board Members serve as liaisons to the sponsored ministries and collaborate with NSNO to maintain and spread the charism and of SND in supporting the transition to lay leadership in each ministry.
